After defeating the Kansas Jayhawks by ten points, VCU is only the third eleventh-seeded team to advance to the Final Four. In fact, Butler and VCU combine for the two highest seeds to ever meet in the Final Four. All that being said, this game will likely be hard to predict.

The Rams have surprised the nation. Led by head coach Shaka Smart, VCU has infused its electric style of play into each round of the tournament. In the win over Kansas, VCU dominated the perimeter, connecting on 12 of 25 three-pointers, while holding Kansas to a mere two.

Forward Jamie Skeen had a break out performance against the Jayhawks, scoring 26 points, and together with Bradford Burgess and Joey Rodriguez in the guard positions, the Rams are well balanced.

But, the Bulldogs of Butler are back again. But after falling in the National Championship game last season and losing Gordon Hayward to the NBA Draft, not many expected Butler to be back here again this season.

But here they are, winning four games in the NCAA Tournament so far this season by an average of just 3.3 points. The Bulldogs know how to hang tough in close games.

Led by a dynamic duo of scorers in Shelvin Mack and Matt Howard, the Bulldogs have steadily chipped away at the likes of Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and Florida and now are back into the Final Four with a chance for a repeat performance in the national championship game.

Butler is listed as the 2.5-point favorite in the betting odds with the game total at 133.5. The Bulldogs seem like the best bet to take in this Final Four matchup. Based on their experience this deep in the tournament and their ability to maintain calm in tightly-contested games, Butler should win the game and cover the spread.
