Two of ranked mid-major programs you’ve probably never heard of will square off on the college basketball betting line this Saturday, adding a refreshing new angle to the typical NCAA odds scene. Favored in the bout will be No. 7 Murray State at home against No. 13 St. Mary’s.
What the clubs may lack in name recognition or major conference clout they’ve made up for in sheer performance as the Gaels (that would be St. Mary’s, by the way) have ridden to a 23-3 mark, with an additional 12-1 record in the West Coast standings.
The Murray State Racers, on the other hand, have gone to town on the Ohio Valley standings where they now sit 12-1 in conference play and 24-1 overall.

With the weeks whipping by before the NCAA tournament this spring, it’s hard not to wonder where little known teams like these two sit on the March Madness odds list. According to Bovada’s college basketball odds makers, both are longshots to put a dent in the year-end bracket.
